Golden Pheasant Tippet Collar (2nd)

The Golden Pheasant Tippet Collar is the area of the Golden Pheasant that features all the tippet feathers. The tippet feathers are most commonly used when it comes to Salmon fly tying but also can be used for other types of fly tying.

The tippet feathers are mainly used in pairs for wings on Salmon fly patterns and can be tail material and underwings in Wet Trout fly tying as well. The feathers are normally bright orange in colour and come in many different sizes, making it ideal for many different fly patterns.

The Tippet Collar Grade 2 has feathers that are very similar in standard to Grade 1 and can be seen as a low cost alternative option. This collar is slightly smaller in comparison to Grade 1, the colour of the feathers are a little lighter and with regards to fly tying, there are still lots of feathers provided.

Common Fly patterns that are tied with Golden Pheasant Tippet Feathers are flies such as the Black Pennel, the Peter Ross and Ally's Shrimp fly.
